Kate obtained her California real estate broker's license in 2004. She is an experienced corporate attorney by background, licensed to practice law in California, New York and Russia, and has wide experience in transactional documentation and business negotiation. As a real estate broker, Kate makes it her business to get her clients what they want, be it selling at the best possible price or buying the perfect home - her mission is to offer the highest degree of professionalism and care.
The real estate market in San Francisco is challenging - rapid appreciation, neighborhood developments, landlord-tenant laws, complex contractual documentation make buying or selling real estate here daunting. You need a guide who is competent and enjoys meeting those challenges. Kate is known for her tenacity, market knowledge and negotiation skills. She has partnered with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage for its international reputation, extraordinary marketing presence and strong leadership. She chose the office in which Coldwell Banker was founded in 1906.
As a real estate professional, Kate is certified as a Pricing Strategy Advisor, Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist as well as Transaction Coordinator. She has extensively researched San Francisco’s neighborhoods, including their history, demographics, exposure to natural hazards, market trends and other metrics. She has developed a comprehensive study covering each of the city’s 89 sub-districts / neighborhoods which she shares with her clients. In addition, Kate also gives talks to various groups on the state of San Francisco’s housing market, a roadmap to buying a home in the city as well as related topics.
Originally from Ekaterinburg, Russia, Kate first came to the United States as a recipient of the U.S. Department of State full scholarship for the ACTR/ACCELS FSA Academic Exchange Year Program. After a year in the United States, Kate received a U.S. high school diploma from Richmond Community High School at age 16. Kate subsequently studied law at Ural State Law University in Russia (graduating with Honors), then at Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco (graduating at the top of her class), and finally at Queens’ College at the University of Cambridge, UK (Cambridge Overseas Trust Scholarship). At the beginning of her career, Kate was involved with international litigation when she worked for a former Pennsylvania state senator. As a corporate attorney, Kate worked with several Fortune 500 clients. She managed complex transactions, corporate restructurings as well as day-to-day commercial matters.
Kate has resided in San Francisco for over 10 years and developed a deep appreciation of life in our fascinating city. She is a member of San Francisco Museum and Historical Society and San Francisco Heritage as well as Pacific Heights Residents Association and Small Property Owners Institute of San Francisco. Kate is well familiar with San Francisco’s history as well as its everyday life and frequently publishes in social media on the issues relating to the city’s political, economic and social life. Kate is active in the community and is volunteer mediator with the Community Boards of San Francisco (http://communityboards.org/) which offers free* ($40 filing fee applies but may be waived upon request) dispute resolution services.
